IPO Window Reopens for Fintechs After Long Freeze

Two payment companies filed to go public this month, reopening an IPO window that had been effectively frozen for fintech for more than a year and offering the clearest sign yet that investor appetite is returning.
Bankers said calmer markets and a clutch of profitable candidates had combined to tempt firms back. Unlike the previous wave, the companies now testing the market tend to lead with steady revenue rather than pure growth.
A successful debut could encourage a backlog of late-stage startups to follow, though several founders said they would wait to see how the first listings trade before committing.
